MATT ROSE: Hi everyone. Welcome back to another episode of ReversingGlass. I'm Matt Rose, Field CISO at ReversingLabs. Well, we're just a few short weeks, meh, five weeks from August. And what does August mean for cybersecurity professionals? It means that everybody, or most of you, that are cybersecurity professionals, get on a plane to beautiful, hot, sunny Las Vegas cue Elvis.

Alright, Elvis has left the building. Viva Las Vegas, everybody. But, why are all these cybersecurity professionals coming to Las Vegas? Well, they're all coming to help George Clooney and Matt Damon and Brad Pitt perform a heist of, wait, totally wrong, that's not it. That's Oceans 11. That's a movie. They're coming to Las Vegas for Black Hat.

Yes, Black Hat. You haven't been before it's a great event. A lot of professionals go there year over year to network, learn new things. But, this year it's August 5th through 10th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. If you're new to the event or new to Vegas, here's a quick picture of the Mandalay Bay just so you can get your bearings.

This is the main hotel. We have the convention center is in here, and then the Delano is in the back. So this is, it's at the end of the strip, but this is where, Black Hat has been for a bunch of years now. So, what is ReversingLabs doing at Black Hat? Well, we got a bunch of interesting things we're doing.

Buckle up, a lot of information to digest. We're gonna update this as we get more granularity and more, detail on a bunch of the things. But, we are located right here. It's a highlight there, my head's in the way. In booth number 3034. I will be at the show this year. I'm giving presentations in the booth, along with other industry experts.

We're talking about software supply chain security, software supply chain attacks, malware analysis, and threat hunting activities for your SOCs, so please stop by the booth. Again, booth number 3034. We're giving away a ton of interesting swag in the booth too. So if you attend a presentation, you're gonna get a unique piece of swag.

We have some handouts if you don't have time to sit through a presentation. But, there's a lot of interesting things, including we're gonna have a second floor in our booth for meeting space this year. So, if you wanted to have a meeting on the floor with ReversingLabs, learn more about software supply chain security, or malware analysis and threat hunting, we can do that right there, based on schedules, in the booth, or we also have an executive suite meeting room within the Mandalay Bay. So it's just a short elevator ride away. Again, that's just a meeting with executive leadership of ReversingLabs. I'm probably not invited, so, it's kind of a special invite, but keep that in mind if you do want to have an audience with the executive leadership at ReversingLabs.

And finally, we're actually partnering this year with Guidepoint security for their happy hour reception, cocktail hour. This is a great event. I've been to it many times. Lot of great conversations with industry experts, with vendors. So, if you're going to that look us up, there'll be a ton of ReversingLabs kind of representation there.

And, that is August 8th, 5:30-8:00, at the Skyfall Lounge in the Delano, top floor. It's right about here, so, oh, terrible arrow. There we go. Right about there. So you got a great view of Vegas. Look into it because it's a great event, great networking event, and really starts off the week with a bang, if you will.

So thinking about with the bang, I always like to talk about my presentations. So again, I'll be giving presentations in the booth. This is me this year giving presentations about SBOMs at RSA. But you know, in order for us to get ready for Black Hat, we gotta get our gear on. So, trying my best to match the picture here. So, I'll get the pose in, come by, listen to a presentation. Just have a conversation. Maybe we can grab a beer later. I'm Matt Rose. This is ReversingGlass. Hope to see everybody at Black Hat in Vegas, in just a few weeks.
